Good time management skills of teacher and student for completing the long to- do list of syllabus activities are undeniable vital aspect of effective teaching and learning process. These skills help the teacher and student to optimize the learning opportunities in any conventional or on-line education system. Time management helps in prioritizing the tasks associated with course learning and activities by deciding what should be done first and what to do later i.e. whether a teacher and student should do the teaching and learning first or should they go for course activity before teaching/ learning the topic. Time management enables the people in both roles to do more educational tasks in less time with more correctness and in more organized manner.

Around more than 70 % students experience or opt for online learning either for any course or degree completion due to the flexibility of time, space and manner of online education system. Along many benefits of online education the most noticeable issue is Proper time management which impede the effective online learning.

Students and teachers need to find a way to balance the flexibility of online learning with a disciplined schedule to be successful online learners and mentors. Proper time management will safe both teachers and students from being mentally and physically overly stressed. It also help them being less Procrastinate.

Regarding the solution and suggestions for time managements some effective tips have been suggested by the experts of education fields which I find quite practical and beneficial. The solutions include:

1. Setting clear goals, which should be specific, measurable, realistic and time bound

2. Making and following the study plan calendar along study schedule

3. Setting the time lines for assignments and different graded activities.

4. Daily logging in at LMS or student teacher accounts and working bit by bit on daily basis and avoid piling up the tasks for the last minute submission

5. Collaborate and do team or group work without wasting time in distractions

I have observed that the technology tools and medium, selected and used in online education systems also effect the time management factor due to the user friendly or complexity factor related to them, do you people agree with me? Please share your experiences with me.

As far as your question is concerned, technology tools and medium used in online education is very important factor in time management. The user friendly systems motivates the learners and they always keep up with the time schedules while the complexity of the tools and medium demotivates the learners and they lag on schedules because to losing interest and using the systems less often. So it’s very important that the tools and medium used must be user friendly and the learners should be oriented about the use of them, also ready help should be available to learners in case they feel any difficulty anywhere.
