Learning Plan and Activity Overview

 

  • Context: Intermediate level- Grammar/ Speaking Skills

  • Students Can-Do:

  1. Watch the posted video based on the topic, ‘ Present Progressive Tense Form’

  2. Take notes

  3. Write down your assignment points on individual or shared Google Doc:

    4. Prepare an audio/ video oral presentation at:

·         Communicative Mode: Presentation, Speaking 

·         Delivery Mode: Asynchronous

·         Plan for Assessment: Formative; Students receive delayed feedback from instructor

·         Materials needed / Technology tool or application: Pedlet, Flipgrid, VLC Media player, Google Doc

·         Time frame / Estimated time for completion: activity could take between 40 - 50 minutes.

 

STUDENTS’ INSTRUCTION

  2. Watch the video based on the topic of ‘Present Progressive Tense Form’ posted at Pedlet by the teacher

  3. Use the Flipgrid or VLC Media Player for recording your audio or video presentation.             (a) Flip grid: https://info.flipgrid.com/         (b) VLC Media Palyer 

  4. Post the audio or video presentation narrating the description based on the topic ‘My weekend visit to local market’ . Your narration should present the events and actions happened and witnessed by you, by using the taught present progressive tense form. E.g. Some shopkeepers are cleaning their shops. etc

  5. Your speaking presentation should be of 1- 5 minutes duration.

  6. Mention your name and roll number on your Pedlet assignment post.
